VerenaI don't know about the rest, but I'm fairly sure to have read around that AC3 and DTS decoding is not done in hardware. Is that AC3 and DTS decoding of my X-Fi done in hardware or via the driver software? because if it's done via software i can as well use AC3Filter + DirectSound and then i would have no problems at all > if there's again nox fix, third possibility: Is the famous AC3Filter capable of avoiding this problem (that the mixer wave volume stays at the setting i quit Zoom Player with)? there are so many settings, maybe there is a special trick ![]() ![]() > if there's no fix, second possibility: is there a special setting or a trick to revert it back to 100% after closing Zoom Player? (i know that WaveOut is old and changing the volume in ZP when using WaveOut is just the same as chaning the wave volume in the windows mixer but if i use WaveOut in Winamp, listen to music at 70% and then close Winamp, it set's the windows mixer wave volume back to 100%!!) 30% volume, the windows mixer keeps this 30% as Wave Volume. and now my problem: when i quit Zoom Player with e.g. the only way to change the playback volume now is to use WaveOut instead of DirectSound. this means i have set AC3 and DTS to S/PDIF in the ffdshow audio decoder. I'm using my X-Fi to decode AC3 and DTS with its built-in decoder. ![]()
